About Us
Our Funeral home has been serving families since 1900. We were originally founded by A.D Jackson & T.D. Ritchie. The original location was located at 113 S. 2nd St., and in 1930, a new building was erected at its current location of 443 S. 2nd St.

In 1935, A.D.'s son joined his father in the business, and it became A. D. Jackson and Son Mortuary. Bob Jackson operated the mortuary from 1946 until 1959, when Richard and Caroline Walters and Russ and Carolyn Chaney purchased the firm.
In 1960, the building, chapel, and family rooms were remodeled. Russ and Carolyn Chaney purchased the firm from the Walters and had been operating the firm since 1971.

The co-ownership between Russ and Carolyn Chaney with Mike and Susie Reager in 1999 created a name change for the firm. A new addition was built on the funeral home to provide an on-site crematory.

We have one location to serve the families better and to provide a full-service funeral home.

In 2012, Ed Halouska joined the team, and in June 2019, Ed and his wife, Amalia, purchased the business from Mike and Susie. They will continue the tradition of a family-owned and operated funeral home.
