Obituary
Wilma Jean Nix, 88 of Sterling, passed away Sun., Nov. 22, 2015 in Sterling. Graveside memorial service will be 10:30 am Wed., Nov. 25 at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Jared Sonnenberg officiating.
Wilma was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Sterling, CO to Fred and Sena Anderson Serr. She graduated from Sterling High School and worked at Hi Plains Printing as secretary and bookkeeper.
She married Melvin M. Nix in Denver, CO on Nov. 3, 1947. Wilma enjoyed cooking and cross stitch and coffee with her friends.
Wilma is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin Nix on Jan. 23, 2011 and her son Michael Nix on Sept. 6, 2015, brother Robert Serr and sisters Dorothy Jackson and Marianna Price.
