William Paul "Bill" Lee, 61, of Sterling, was born on January 3, 1953 and died on Friday, November 28, 2014 in Sterling.
Funeral services will be held graveside at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, on Tuesday, December 9 at 2:15pm, staging area C.
Bill was born in Oahu, HI at Tripler Army Hospital to Michael J. and Norma M. Lee. After having lived in FL and NC, his family settled in Southern California. He graduated in 1971 from Loara HS in Anaheim.
He served 3 years in the U. S. Army, after which he met Mary Stoughton in 1977, to whom he was married for almost 37 years.
After several years as a tool and die maker, he found a career with IBM as a computer technician. After moving to Sterling in 1994, he owned and operated Buffalo Hills Campground, and then was general manager of the Fox 5 Theatre for several years.
Bill was a life member of NRA and an enthusiastic gun rights advocate, enjoying shooting and reloading as a hobby.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Laura and son-in-law Andrew Gardner of Fruita, son Joseph and daughter-in-law Tammy of Parker, sons William, Thomas, Kevin, David, Brian, Patrick, and Tristan; brother Michael and sister Margo Weber of Arizona, sisters Mary Castillo, Kini, Resa Niksch, and Kathy MacKenzie all of California; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
