Wilburn Armin Sanders, 81, of Lochbuie, passed away June 6, 2013, in Lochbuie. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Chaney-Reager, with Pastor Jerry Large officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Wilburn was born April 29, 1932, in Sterling to Wilburn Newton and Jennie Mae (Robirds) Sanders. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked in the oil field business as a contract pumper.

On June 24, 1956, he married Arlene Wood in Brush.

Wilburn was a member of Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, VFW and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Sanders of Lochbuie; daughters, Rhonda Roberts of Decatur, Ill., Willene Bondum of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Melanie Sanders of Brighton; sisters, Jenevieve Manuello DeSoto of Sterling, Jewel Schneider of Greeley; twin brother, Wendell Sanders of Sterling; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two grand-doggies.
