Obituary

Wayne Lawrence Davidson, 85 of Sterling passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Sterling. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18th at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling with Rev. Spencer Green officiating. Inurnment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Wayne was born October 31, 1931 in Kutch, Colorado to Orville Lee and Esther Lillian (Johnson) Davidson. Wayne married Shirley I. Mustain on Jan. 28, 1952 in Burdett, CO. In 1956, they moved to Denver and in 1966 they moved to Sterling.

He worked many years as a machinist and later as a cabinet maker. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Wayne was a member of the Willard Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Sterling BPOE Lodge #1336, the Sterling American Legion Post #20, and the Jake Uhrig VFW Post #3541. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Pat Gary and husband Bill of Clinton, Mo; sister, Evelyn Motsenbocker and husband Gene of Sterling; brother, Glen Davidson of Akron, CO; two grandchildren, Jason W. Gary and wife Jolene of Sterling and Kristen Cox of Clinton, MO; six great grandchildren, Dustin, Kaylee, Brooke, Rylie, Kyara, Carson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley I. Davidson on March 16, 2000, and two brothers.
