Tyler "TJ" P. Johnson, 32 of Sterling passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 10, 2022. A private service will be held at a later date.

Tyler was born August 4, 1990, in Ogallala, NE to Larry and Julie (Reichman) Johnson. He attended school at Colorado Christian University and graduated in 2021 with a master's degree in Arts. Tyler married Melanie Unruh on August 11, 2018, in Chappell, NE and the couple moved to Sterling in March of 2022. Tyler worked at Centennial Mental Health as a Clinical Counselor until his passing.

Tyler enjoyed playing "Magic the Gathering" card game, anime, video games, psychology, philosophy, artillery history, politics, traveling, music, and Taekwondo.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Lucy Reichman and his grandfather Donald Johnson.

Tyler is survived by his wife Melanie, sister Mckella Johnson, brother Trevor Johnson, nephew Eli Johnson; several uncles and aunts, grandmother LaDene Rutt, grandfather Larry Rutt, father-in-law Robert Unruh, mother-in-law Patricia Unruh and brother-in-law Brian Unruh.
