Thomas Wayne Stark Sr., 73, of Denver, passed away Nov. 15, 2013, in Denver. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at 121 Beattie St., Sterling.

Thomas was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Hastings, Neb., to Earl Kenneth and Edna B. (Murphy)Stark. He graduated from high school and served in the U.S. Army.

He was a janitor for Cherry Creek Schools.

Thomas was a member of the Eagles and VFW. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, fishing, reading Louis L'Amour books and listening to old-time country music.

He is survived by his daughters, Deanne Stark and Kim Stark; step-daughter, Kim Henshaw; sons, Kevin Stark, Sean Stark and wife Tonia; step-sons, Mike Rinow and wife Justine, Chris Mortensen and wife Betty; brother, Robert Stark and wife Sue; sisters, Audrey Stark and Carol Lee; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Wayne Stark Jr.; and sister, Shirley.

Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, Sterling, handled the arrangements.
