Theodore "Ted" Henry Berg, 78 passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of Ted's life will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 30, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Lew Champ officiating. An inurnment will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.

Theodore was born on December 19, 1938 in Sterling, Colorado to Theodore Francis and Agnes Wilhomina (Pimple) Berg. He attended elementary school at the Fyffe School and graduated from St. Anthony's Catholic High School. He served in the Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant from 1959 to 1965. Ted married Wanda Anderson Campbell on June 18, 1982 in Sterling. In the 1970's, Ted worked as a bookkeeper for Allen Mitchek. He went on to become an independent owner/operator truck driver, later becoming a grain merchandiser for and retiring from the Sidney Co-op.

Ted was very active in the Sterling Lions Club. He received the Melvin Jones Fellowship award for his dedication and many hours of service. He enjoyed puzzles, traveling, flipping of homes, spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Agnes Berg; sisters, Mary Jane Berg and Evelyn Scheberle; and son-in-law Brian Sessions.

Ted is survived by his wife, Wanda Berg; daughters, Ann Sessions, Sharon Berg-Ladd, Cindy (Ken) Pierce all of Sterling, Christina (Michelle) Howell of Kansas City, MO; sons, Darren Campbell and Rick (Jessica) Berg, all of Sterling; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Dorcas) Berg of Lexington, NC, Dale Berg of Holyoke, CO; sisters, Gerri (Ray) Schiel of Lakewood, CO, Sally Henry of Haxtun and numerous nieces and nephews.
