Texanna Overholt, 88, of Sterling, died March 9, 2009, in Sterling. Private family services will be held.
She was born Sept. 15, 1920, to Flem and Lettie R. (Mullins) Cox in Portales, N.M. She graduated from high school and continued her education for another year.
On Sept. 18, 1945, she married Mike Overholt in Clovis, N.M. She moved from Denver to Sterling in 1978.
Mrs. Overholt loved gardening and being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting and doing hand crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Kinnaman of Sterling; son, James Fulgham of Plano, Texas; sisters, Bootha Robinson and husband Leo of Portales, N.M., and Mary Garrett and husband Clay of Las Cruces, N.M.; grandchildren, Lesia Coats and husband Brad of Willard, Melissa Kinnaman of Sterling and Justin Kinnaman and wife Beth of Fredericksburg, Va.; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Overholt was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Mike Overholt in 2005.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Program for Wounded Warriors.
