Tanya Annette LeVasseur, 59, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at home in her wife and daughter's arms. Per Tanya's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held.

Tanya was born July 29, 1962, in Herrington, Kansas to Roger Albert LeVasseur and Beverly Renee Humbarger. Tanya moved to Sterling with her family in 1979 at the age of 17. In 1980, she married Jamie Gentz and had their only child, daughter Chantel. They divorced in 1990. In 2002, Tanya met the love of her life Leilani Pate, and they were married on April 15, 2015, in Sterling, CO. The couple loved spending their free time together fishing. She especially loved when her grandchildren would join them. She enjoyed exploring the mountains with family when she was able, and she also enjoyed her phone & video time with her best friend and older sister, Gina. She was loved by many and was sought out for her wallpaper, paint, and repair consultations. She had a passion for interior and exterior design and was a jack of all trades. She was able to serve many customers during her 14 years at Sherwin Williams. She felt blessed to be able to play and see her great grandson, Mason. Her motto was "Family takes care of Family".

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Keith Prinsloo, father Roger LeVasseur, grandparents Alex and Blanche Humbarger and nephew Nicholas Todd Kinser.

Tanya is survived by her wife Leilani; daughter Chantel Lotman and husband Steven of Sterling, CO; siblings, Gina (Darrel) Claphan of Witchita, KS, Rene LeVasseur of KS, Rhonda Kinser of N.C., Tiara Bendas of PA, Valarie Love of KS, and Roger LeVasseur of KS; grandchildren Aurora LeVasseur, of Sterling, Raymond (Jordan) Lotman , of AZ, Robert (Ali) Lotman of TX, April Lotman, and Billy Sherrill both of Sterling, CO; great grandson Mason of Sterling, CO; in-laws Ankie and Cynthia Hiton of Colorado Springs; mother Beverly LeVasseur of KS and many nieces and nephews.
