Obituary

Susan Jane Shaner, 55, of Merino, died Oct. 9, 2010, in Loveland. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Akron Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaner was born May 7, 1955, in Walden to William Patrick Cullen and Leona Marie Davission. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Johnstown and the University of Phoenix.

She met August Shaner in 1982. They were married in 1997 and renewed their vows in 2009.
She joined the Christian Motorcycle Association Sterling Chapter in 2001, and the Abate of Colorado District 1 in 2010.
Mrs. Shaner enjoyed working with children and riding behind her husband on their motorcycle. She was proud of working at Head Start in Akron.
She was very proud of her two grandchildren, two baby girls born this year.

She is survived by her husband, August Shaner of Merino; daughters, Dawn Biddle of Merino, Jamie Biddle of Merino and Pauline Cook and husband Richard of Yuma; granddaughters, Annie Biddle and Dunia Cook; brother, Scott Davission of Billings, Mont.; sisters, Norma Fritchell of Greeley, Debbie Heinz and husband Rick of Oakdale, Calif., and Kelly Davission of Akron; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her son, Norman Ward Biddle; mother, Leona Davission; father, William Cullen; and stepfather, Norman Davission.
