Obituary
Staniel "June" Juranek, 86 of Crook, passed away Tues., Dec. 9, 2014 in Crook. Visitation will be 10am until 6pm on Fri., Dec. 12 with family receiving friends from 5pm until 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, Sterling. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Sat., Dec. 13, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua in Julesburg, with burial at Julesburg Cemetery with military honors at graveside.
June was born July 18, 1928 in Julesburg, CO to Staniel and Christina Mazel Juranek, Sr.
He married Angela Margaret Faimon on Sept. 19, 1950.
June served during the Korean War in the U. S. Navy. He was a maintenance foreman for CDOT, retiring after 37 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening.
June was a lifetime member of the BPO Sterling Elks Lodge No 1336, member of the Crook VFW. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Crook.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Angie Juranek of Crook, daughter Gail Ann Stewart and husband Michael of Gray, TN and son Michael Juranek of Thornton, CO, sister-in-law Janet Juranek of Denver, CO, grandchildren Matthew Stewart and Adam Stewart and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
