Shirley Anne Severance, 70 of Sterling was born Sept. 29, 1943 in Trenton, Nebraska to Wilbur "Bud" and Elma Jean Keller Owens. She was raised in the Trenton and Merino areas.
She married Charles "Roger" Severance Sept. 1, 1964.
Shirley held a variety of jobs over the years but was primarily a homemaker.
She is survived by daughter Jill Johnson and husband Tom and their sons Brendan and Brason of Sterling; sister Sally Schott and husband Don of Sterling; mother-in-law Lenore Severance of Merino; sisters-in-law Laurina Cullip of Sterling, Marilyn Myers and husband Bob of Sterling, Kathleen Severance and husband George Medaris of Canon City, CO and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1992 and her father in 1991.
Private family service to be held.
