They lived in Sterling for a short time before moving to Colorado Springs followed by a 24-year career in the United States Navy. Both Sue and Gene served our country well.
Sue and Gene returned to Sterling in 1976 to open and run Tait's Lock & Safe which they successfully did in partnership until Gene's sudden death in 2008. Sue retired shortly after and enjoyed her time as grandma to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Over the years, Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting afghans for her grandchildren, and doing all types of crafts. She loved to garden, investigate geneology, and gave the greatest hugs in the world. Sue's smile, love, and supportive talks will be missed by many.
