Sandra "Sandy" Diane Post, 56 of Sterling passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Sterling Regional MedCenter. Viewing will be 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Cremation will take place and there will be no memorial services.

Sandy was born on June 27, 1961 in Clarinda, Iowa to Harvey James, Jr. and Marcella Fay (Shaw) Thomas. She graduated from Sterling High School and from Everest University with a degree in Criminal Justice. She married Charles "Chuck" Post on June 7, 2001 in Sterling. Sandy enjoyed painting, gardening, flowers, collecting Indian items and her dog, "Taco". She especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Adyleah.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Damien.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Chuck; sons, Justin Shaw and Cal Post, both of Sterling; sisters, Terri (Bobby) Tanser of Sterling and Debbie (Vince) Verderamo of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Adyleah; nephew, Robert Tanser of Sterling; niece, Missy Shields of Atlanta, GA; 11 great nieces and nephews and 9 great-great nieces and nephews.
