Ruth E. McKibbon

Ruth E. McKibbon, 85, of Peetz, died Dec. 7, 2007, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Chaney-Reager with the Rev. Michael Young and Pastor Steve Perry officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. McKibbon was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Norfolk, Neb., to William and Ella (Heinike) Krause.

On May 29, 1943, she married Clifford McKibbon in Norfolk. They had 10 children.

She moved from Norfolk to Peetz in 1979. She was actively involved in the Peetz Community Meet and Eat and various religious functions.

Mrs. McKibbon is survived by her daughters, Sharon Collins of Riverside, Calif., Shirley Bedel of Queen Creek, Ariz., Carol McKibbon of Sterling, D.J. Fischer of Sterling, Diana Joy of Lincoln, Neb., and Karen Hruza of Sidney, Neb.; sons, Ronnie McKibbon of Chandler, Ariz., and Gary McKibbon of Riverside; special friends, Joan Hof, Colletta Roelle, Ardith Gillham, Eleanor Everheart, and Steve Perry; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford McKibbon in 2000; sons, Clifford McKibbon and Richard McKibbon; grandchildren, Timothy Collins and Tray Ober; one sister; and two brothers.
