Russ Talbott, 63, of Iliff, passed away Aug. 5, 2013, in Greeley. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James R. Nash officating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Russ was born Jan. 19, 1950, in Sterling to Gerald Stewart and Mildred Irene (Wagner) Talbott. He graduated from Iliff High School and Northeastern Junior College, continuing his education at CSU.

He was a rancher in Iliff.

Russ is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and metal detecting and loved gardening. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved watching sports of all kinds, especially the Colorado teams.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Talbott of Iliff; brother, Bob Talbott and wife Ruth of Iliff; nephew, Brady Ryan; nieces, Mindy Estrada and husband Paul, Ashley Bolt and husband Marc; great-nieces and nephews, Jayden, Jessalyn, Jayce, Zachary, Izaiah, Adonika and Aristea; numerous cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Talbott in 1989.
