Royce Knott Koch Williams, 85, of Sterling passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Greeley, Colorado. Cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.

Royce was born May 26, 1938, in Imperial, Nebraska to Carroll and Leota (Lenhart) Knott. She grew up on the farm and went to a country school until moving to Imperial in the spring of 1948. Royce graduated from Sterling High School in 1956.  She married Billy Koch on June 10, 1956, and to this union three children were born, Pamela Sue, Sharon Kaye and David Eugene. She worked for many years at Sears and then at the County Assessor's office.

In 1982, she worked for and received her real estate license. She then went to work for Brekel Reality. She later married Rodney Williams on March 21, 1987, and they moved to the farm east of Peetz, Colorado. She worked at Cabela's until she retired in 2006 and then moved from the farm to Sterling in 2007.

Royce was a 4-H leader and enjoyed her Busy-Bee Club for over 60 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, tending to her rose garden and making quilts for grandchildren and friends. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family and her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Leota Knott; brothers Myron and Bill Knott; the father of her children, Billy Koch; daughter-in-law Kellie Koch and husband Rodney Williams.

Royce is survived by her children, Pam Flickner, Sharon Marquez and David Koch; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
