Rose L. Hasbrouck, 79 of Sterling, CO passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home and Crematory, 443 South 2nd Street, Sterling. CO with Pastor Justin Steimer officiating.

Rose was born January 9, 1944, in Elm Creek, NE to Harry and Elva (Wright) Hasbrouck. She was the 6th born of 7 children. Rose enjoyed working with figures leading to her bookkeeping and secretary skills for employment with a trucking company and later a manufacturing company. Rose married William R. Bliven on July 12, 1960, in Wray, CO and from this temporary union of 21 years, had 2 children, William and Susan.

Rose enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elva Hasbrouck; 3 siblings, Josiphine Benjamin, Caroline Jones, and Bernard Hasbrouck; and 1 grandchild, William Jr.

Rose is survived by her 3 siblings, Harriett Ames of Casper, WY, Eileen and spouse, Gary Skiles of Clovis, CA and Cathy and spouse, Jerry Lybarger of Arcadia, NE, son, William Bliven of LaMars, IA, daughter, Susan and spouse, Keith of Sterling, CO, 5 grandchildren, Kristian, Heather, Derek, Daren, and Chandra; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 bonus great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
