Obituary

Ronnie "Ron" Lee Minniear 50, of Sterling passed away on Wednesday, June 15 th , 2022, in Greeley, with loved ones by his side. A graveside celebration of Ron's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday. July 16 th , 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ron was born on August 25 th , 1971, in Sterling, to Gail (Budd) and Cameron Minniear.  Ron grew up in the Sterling area, going to public schools, making friends along the way, and hanging out with cousins and siblings.  He was a gentle, kind, and easy going spirit.  Family was important to Ron, and he was very proud when he became a father.

Ron had various trades; the most rewarding was being a butcher.  If there would have been an ocean nearby, Ron would have been a professional fisherman.  Fishing was Ron's favorite pastime, and he couldn't wait to teach his children.  At the time of his departure, Ron was working at Reata Travel Stop. Ron had Christian faith and is now at peace with Jesus.  He will be sadly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Ron is survived by his loving partner Amy Hohn of Sterling; children: Sean, Haidon, Vanessa, and Owen; stepfather Randall Hernandez of Sterling; brother Coleman Minniear of Sterling; sister Bobbie and husband Cory Reeve of Nebraska; nieces: Andrea and Hannah; aunts: Kaleen Ruth, Claudia Budd, and numerous cousins.
