Ronald S. Fleharty, a life-long resident of Sterling, CO, passed away peacefully at the age of 52 with his family at his side on Sunday, September 26 ^th , 2021.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, at Pioneer Park at the south-east south-west pavilion. If you are planning on attending, we ask you to please bring seating as we are not sure how many seats will be available. Please come and share all your stories about this amazing man.

Big Ron was born March 20 ^th , 1969. He graduated NJC with Auto mechanics. He then began working at Nichols for 10 years as a machinist.  From there he designed trusses' and then began his journey in 2006 at the Sterling Correctional Facility as an Electronics Specialist.

Ronny never new a stranger he was a friend to all, and he would always put people's needs before his own.  He was adored by all his niece and nephews and will be remembered by his infectious giggle and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Ruby Fleharty and brothers Michael and Rod Fleharty.

Ron is survived by his wife, Makala Fleharty; his daughter Sarrah Fleharty of Sterling and son Austin Fleharty of Richlands, North Carolina; brothers Rick (Karen) Fleharty, Roger (Blanca) Fleharty, sisters Rhoda (Randy) Norris, Rochelle (Jason) Ralston all in Sterling, and sister-in-law: Leah Fleharty of Grand Junction, mother and father-in-law Russ and Ann Withrow, sister and brother-in-Law Kim (Joe) Humphrey of Gothenburg, Nebraska and Scott (Adrienne) Withrow of Fruita.
