IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rolan "Gene"
Eugene Leblanc
August 29, 1927 – April 7, 2023
Rolan "Gene" LeBlanc passed away to his eternal home early Friday morning, April 7, 2023. He was 95 years of age and died of natural causes. Gene was in Hospice care at Devonshire when he passed away. Per his request, there will be no services.
Gene was born on August 29, 1927, in Sheridan, WY to Leon LeBlanc and Francis (Ennis) LeBlanc. Though they lived in several places, including Alaska, he spent most of his life in Northeastern Colorado.
Gene pursued several occupations throughout his life, most of them related to the agricultural segment. He had farmed, worked at the Coop, and driven a truck. Most of his work life was spent driving a truck hauling cattle since the 1960's. At one time, he was an owner-operator pulling for V-Y Truck Line and later for Brotzman Trucking.
On April 16, 1949, Gene married Glorine Hielscher in Iliff, CO. He and Glorine had two children, one daughter, Colleen Conrad of Ft. Collins, CO; and one son, Merritt of Sterling, CO. His former wife Glorine preceded him in death, and the two children survive him.
Gene's interest was work. He seemed to love working, hunting, fishing, and rodeos. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Sterling, upon his passing.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, two sisters, two brothers and his former wife and mother of his children.
Gene is survived by his daughter, son, two sisters, one brother and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
