Robert J. Stafford, 89, of Loveland, died Feb. 11, 2009, in Sterling. Private family services will be held.
He was born Nov. 15, 1919, to John W. and Betty (Englemann) Stafford in Marion, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Loveland.
Mr. Staffod worked for Xcel Energy as office manager in Loveland.
On Nov. 29, 1940, he married Carol E. McClean in Loveland.
He was a member of the Loveland Kiwanis Club. He was an oil painting artist, and enjoyed wood carving birds, hunting artifacts and fly fishing.
Mr. Stafford is survived by his wife, Carol E. Stafford of Loveland; sons, Robert W. Stafford of Loveland, Thomas R. Stafford of Butte, Mont., and Jay A. Stafford and wife Chris of Sterling; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
