Robert G. Christensen, 82, of Sterling, died Sept. 19, 2007, in Sterling. Private family services will be held. There was cremation. Arrangements were made by Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.
Mr. Christensen was born Sept. 28, 1925, to Carl Jacob and Della (Frese) Christensen in Bennett County, S.D. He attended high school.
He was an auto mechanic for Bill's Motors, Holloway Chevrolet, Slim's Auto Repair and his own business, R.C. Automotive.
On July 7, 1945, he married Jacsqueline Samuelson in Hamilton City, Calif.
He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was active in door to door ministry and teaching others the Bible's message. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Mr. Christensen is survived by his wife, Jacqueline of Sterling; children, Susan K. Malmedal and husband Blaine, Robert Christensen Jr., Melody Raffaeli and husband Tom, and James Christensen and wife Cassie; sisters, Dorothy Loos, and Goldie Knowles and husband James "Bud"; brother, Carl Christensen Jr. and wife Rose; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl J. Christensen; mother, Della Christensen; and sister, Edna Thompson.
