Rita Ertle Rita Ertle, 63, of Sterling, passed away May 3, 2011, in Sterling. Vigil Service and Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Rita was born June 28, 1947, in Sterling to Clifford Kaiser Sr. and Ann (Devie) Kaiser. She graduated from St. Anthony High School, and received a scholarship to Hollywood Beauty College in Denver. She also attended the School of Dance.
She was a wig designer and hair stylist. She was assistant manager for Watkins clothing store and started her own business, Rita`s Ritzy Rags, where she designed jewelry.
On Sept. 30, 1967, she married Larry Ertle at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sterling. They were married for 44 years.
Rita was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a cheerleader at St. Anthony in high school, member of the Colorado Ballet and Bandimere Speedway. She enjoyed watching drag racing and motorcycle riding and designing jewelry.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Ertle; daughter, Kim Luna and husband David and their son, Alex; sister, Anna Marie Ornelaz and husband Ray; brothers, Cliff Kaiser Jr. and wife Debbie, Bob Kaiser and Chuck Kaiser.
