Richard Fitzsimons

Richard Lee Fitzsimons, 83, of Sterling passed away Monday, September 14, 2026. A private graveside service will be held.

Richard was born on March 14, 1943, in Sterling, Colorado to Claude and Lois (Marks) Fitzsimons. Richard enlisted in the U.S Army in 1964 and was stationed in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1966. He married Lydia Mae Glenn on September 20, 1968, in Sterling.

Richard worked as a truck driver for Stickneys, Huffman Building Products and U-Y truck line.

He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Lois Fitzsimons and his sister Pat Joslin.

Richard is survived by his wife Lydia, brother Keith Fitzsimons, sister Julie Waterman and many nieces and nephews.
