Richard "Rick" Buss, 68 of Sterling passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9 at Columbine Park South Pavilion.

Rick was born April 17, 1954, in Derby, CO to William Henry Buss and Mary Jane (Jackson) Buss. Rick honorably served in the U.S. Navy for almost 18 years and was an Instructor & Systems Data Analyst over seas and in California. He married Rita Fletcher on April 17, 1999, in Sterling, CO.

He enjoyed family time and spending time with his friends. He also enjoyed playing bingo, camping, fishing, and watching sports and John Wayne western movies. Rick was a member of the Moose Lodge, NRA and The Living Word Church of Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Buss, his parents, sister Frances Garrett and stepdad Jay Evers.

Rick is survived by his children Jodi Buss, Richard (April) Buss Jr., Jonathan (Pam) Bevans, Sherri (Eugene) Musselman and Michael (Ashley) Bevans; grandchildren Gabriel, Aaron, Andrew, David, Tiffany, Eugene Jr., Nicole, Jasper, Rachel, Chase, Sarah, Tommy, and Jenna and 4 great grandchildren.
