Reta Jean Acott, 89 of Fleming passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Greeley. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:00 the morning of Wednesday, February 23, 2022, and the funeral service will follow at 10:30 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Burial will be held at the Fleming Cemetery.  A reception will follow the grave side service at the Fleming Community Center.

Reta was born October 30,1932 on the homestead in Colorado to Claude Orville McEwen and Ruby Mae (Coil) McEwen. She married Thomas Acott December 12, 1998, in Fleming. Reta had a servant's heart and as a young girl accepted the responsibility to help raise her brothers and sister, and over her lifetime she was a waitress, mother, carpenter, hog farmer, dairy milker, gardener, airplane builder, helped in the printing business and was a driver and caregiver until her early 80's.

She is preceded in death by her parents; twin brother Rex; daughter LaDonna; former husbands, Emmett Chartier and Russel Clark.

Reta is survived by her son Monte Chartier, 2 sisters Evelyn and Ruth Ann and a brother, Claude, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren
