Raymond Edwin Loos, 83 of Sterling, passed away Sat., April 4, 2015 in Greeley. Visitation will be Wed., April 8, from 10am until 4pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thurs., April 9, at 10:30 am at the Zion Congregational Church with Rev. Brian Witherspoon officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Raymond was born Nov. 20, 1931 in Sterling, CO to Edwin and Blanche Royle Loos. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1949. Ray was a lifetime area resident, farming throughout the area for several years.
He married Betty Louise Schaffer on March 20, 1960 in Sterling. Ray was a member of the Zion Congregational Church and a member of the Old Pickup Club. He played the organ and banjo and loved watching the Broncos, Rockies and Nuggets games.
Raymond is survived by his daughters LuAnn Hiler and husband Randy of Castle Rock, CO; Jane Henderer and husband Russell of Colo. Springs, CO; Judy Little and husband Odd of Longmont, CO. He is also survived by two grandchildren Garson (Elisha Rice) Thompson and Tarek Thompson, one great grandchild Sage Thompson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Loos in 2001 and his brother Bernard Loos.
