Ravon Christine Troy, 40 of Sterling, passed away Wed., Oct. 7, 2015 in Sterling. Visitation will be 10am until 6pm, Fri., Oct. 9, with family receiving friends from 4pm until 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2pm, Sat., Oct. 10, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Young officiating. Services will conclude at the church.

Ravon was born Nov. 2, 1974 in Torrence, CA to Evert Ross and Kim May Martz Barnes. She graduated from high school and continued her education for another year. Ravon married David Troy April 12, 1992 in Bonita, CA. They lived in San Diego, CA from 1979 until 2004, when they moved to Sterling, CO.

She dedicated her last years as a caregiver to the developmentally disabled and loved them as she did her own children. Ravon was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Ravon is survived by her husband David Troy; her children David Troy II, Dustin Troy, Devin Troy and Trevor Troy; sisters Robin Barnes and Renee Barnes; parents Evert Ross Barnes and Kim Guthrie and grandmother Ruby Barnes.
