Randolph L. "Randy" Lauer, 56, of Commerce City and formerly of Crook, passed away Oct. 4, 2013, in Thornton. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 324 S. Third St., Sterling, with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Randy was born March 26, 1957, in Sterling to Joseph J. and Mary (Hoppal) Lauer. He graduated from Caliche High School in 1975 and from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1981.

Randy resided in Phoenix, Ariz. and Commerce City.

He is survived by his sisters, Janice Heckel and husband Delbert, Fran Janicek and husband Duane; brothers, Ronald "Gene" Lauer and wife Gale, Jerry Lauer and Robert "Bob" Lauer; sister-in-law, Connie Lauer; 12 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Lauer; brother, William Lauer; and sister-in-law, Diane Lauer.

Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choosing.
