Ralph E. Freeman, 79, of Iliff, died Dec. 19, 2007, in Loveland. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today, Dec. 22, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. There will be cremation. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Freeman was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Red Rock, Okla., to Walter L. and Anna (Jurgens) Freeman. He graduated from Red Rock High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Vulcan. After his discharge, he farmed in Oklahoma and Colorado.
In 1952, he married Lela A. Potts in Ponca City, Okla. He enjoyed gardening, machinery and woodworking.
Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife, Lela A. Freeman of Iliff; daughters, Lee A. Freeman and Leah M. Marx, both of Mesa, Ariz.; brother, A. L. Freeman and wife Anita of Marland, Okla.; sisters, Fern Freeman and Thelma Pauley of Ponca City and Juanita Nix of Dewey, Okla.; in-laws, Helen Potts of Newkirk, Okla., and John and Phyllis Potts of Amarillo, Texas; three granddaughters, LeAndra Marx, Larissa Marx and Lelani Marx, all of Mesa; nephews, Kenneth and Diane Freeman of Iliff, Jim and Sarah Nix of Emporia, Kan., Dennis and Peggy Sue Nix of Dewey, Jerry and Mellanie LeBaron of Newkirk, Okla., and Ray and Carol Potts of Amarillo; and nieces, Brenda and Steve Walker of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Darla Jones of Ponca City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Freeman; and brother, Allen C. Freeman.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
