Obituary
R.D. Van Vleet, 81 of Fleming, was born Dec. 10, 1931 in Goodland, Kan. and died Dec. 22, 2012 in Fleming.
Funeral services were held Fri., Dec. 28, 2012 at LeRoy United Methodist Church in leRoy with the Rev. Jodie Harless officiating. Burial followed at LeRoy Cemetery.
Memorials in his honor may be made to the R.D. Van Vleet Memorial.
Mr. Van Vleet was preceded in death by his wife Julie Van Vleet; son Howard Van Vleet; brother Charles Malcom Van Vleet; and his parents, George A. and Margaret E. (Scarrow) Van Vleet.
He is survived by his son Andrew J. Van Vleet of Fleming; sister Esther of Carthage, Miss.; brothers Harold Van Vleet and wife Emma and Ronald Van Vleet, all of Goodland; sister Wilma Brue of Salt Lake City, Utah; as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
