Philip Anthony Wilson Sr., 57, of Sterling, died Aug. 9, 2008, in Sterling. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tamara Aubuchon officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson was born Sept. 14, 1950, to Cyrus E. and Ova A. (George) Wilson, in Columbus, Ind. On Aug. 21, 1967, he married Wanda Jo Messenger in Venice, Calif.
He moved from Bellflower, Calif., to Sterling in 1991.
Mr. Wilson was a supervisor at Wisdom Industries. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, traveling and family.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jo Wilson of Sterling; sons, David Wilson and wife Maria of Seymour, Ind., Philip Wilson Jr. and wife Anmarie of North Vernon, Ind., Ricky Wilson and wife Summer of Loveland, Tim Wilson and wife Tonya of Sterling and Josh Wilson and wife Sallie of Sterling; brothers, David Wilson of Columbus, Ind., Jim Wilson of Greenville, Ind., Tim Wilson of Simi Valley, Calif., and Sam Wilson of Denver; sisters, Hazel Goins of Scipio, Ind., Tammy Aubuchon of North Vernon, Calif., Necie Bishop and Brenda Wilbur, both of North Vernon, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Wilson; and sisters, Helen Craig and Fannie Perry.
