Peggy Ruth Richardson, 66 of Sterling, passed away Tues., Aug. 25, 2015 in Sterling. Visitation will be Fri., Aug. 28, 2015 from 10am until 6pm with family receiving friends from 4pm until 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Memorial service will be Sat., Aug. 29 at 10:30 am at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with services concluding at the funeral home.

Peggy was born June 7, 1949 in Lexington, NE to William and Elizabeth Lux Kufeldt. She married Randy G. Richardson, Sr. on July 3, 1966 in Lexington.

Peggy worked at the Latters Dairy Crème in Lexington before moving to Sterling in 1971 where she raised her family. She also worked at the bowling alley for many years. Peggy graduated from NJC from the secretarial program.

Peggy was secretary of the Fort Wicked Muzzle Loader Club. She was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts organizations thru out the years. She loved reading, especially Harlequin Romance Novels, watching Jeopardy, eating fried catfish, puzzles and crocheting. Peggy especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and staying connected with family and friends on facebook.

Peggy is survived by son Randy Richardson, Jr; daughters Amy Carlson and husband Ryan and Stacy Adams and husband Kris; brother Jay Kufeldt and wife Kathy; grandchildren Patrick, Cody, Travis, Skyler, David, Tessa, Noah, Nathan, Kyle and Taylor; great grandchildren Jaxen, Tristan, Aiden, Kaydence and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Randy Richardson April 20, 2015, sister Mary Lou Johnson and brother David Kufeldt.
