Obituary

Pearl A. Koresky, 106, of Yuma, died Jan. 12, 2010, in Yuma. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Cheyenne Wells Christian Church in Cheyenne Wells. Inurnment will be at Cheyenne Wells Cemetery.

Mrs. Koresky was born July 9, 1903, in Springfield, Neb., to John Peter Petty Jr. and Dora Rosalia (Barton) Petty. She was a farmer and rancher through the years.

On Oct. 12, 1921, she married William J. Smith in Springfield. They were married for 20 years.
She later married Frank Koresky on April 19, 1951, in Springfield. They were married for 22 years before his death.

Mrs. Koresky enjoyed rose gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita J. Eiring of Sterling; granddaughters, Linda Korrell Busby of Burlington, Aleta Howard, Tanya Donnelly of Phoenix, Paula Temple of Phoenix, Anita Poggendorf of Phoenix; grandsons, Terry Eiring of Cheyenne Wells, Douglas Eiring of Burlington; 12 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; daughter, Joycelyn Arlene Korrell; 13 sisters; seven brothers; grandchild, Shawn Allen Eiring; and great-grandchild, Ryleigh Lee Crisp.
