Paul Harold Kerschner, 81, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Denver Hospice. Viewing will be held from 1-6 p.m., Thursday, September 23 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 24 at First English Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard von Steinman officiating. Paul will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Paul was born September 27, 1939 in Sterling, CO at the Busse Hospital to Loren Kerschner and Selma (Nelson) Kerschner.
He attended Willard school through eighth grade and graduated from Merino High School in 1957.
Paul was a farmer and was also involved with auto body painting and repair. In November of 1959, he married Carolyn Niesen. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. Paul was a member of First English Lutheran Church and served on many church boards. He served on the board of Orphan Grain Train Rocky Mountain Branch.
He is preceded in death by his parents Loren and Selma.
Paul is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Lynn & wife Elena, daughter Brenda and husband Randy, son Scott and wife Doris; grandchildren: Laura Rahman, Ashton Sheafor (Ben), Hillary Nicholson (Mike Freeman), Levi Nicholson (DeLayni Fine), Kevin Kerschner (Morgan) and Andrew Kerschner; great grandchildren: Malika Rahman, Weston Sheafor and Emmitt Sheafor; brother Glen Kerschner & wife Edith and many nieces and nephews.
