Patricia Mae Vedsted, 88, of Sterling, CO passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 14 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Patricia was born March 10, 1935, in Denver, CO to Arthur E. Richards and Peg (Masters) Richards. She grew up in Wyoming, Montana, California, and Colorado. She graduated from St. Anthony's Catholic School in Sterling. Patricia was united in marriage to John "Jack" Vedsted on December 6, 1954, in Raton, New Mexico.

Patricia worked at RE-1 at the high School, retiring after 28 years. She enjoyed a long retirement and going on many ocean cruises. She was a member of Iota Master of Beta Sigma Phi, Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Retired School Employees Association, and the Scat Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, brother Art Richards, parents Arthur and Peg Richards and in-laws Morris and Elizabeth Vedsted.

Patricia is survived by her sons Vic (Cindy) Vedsted of Gillette, WY, and Jim (Debbie) Vedsted of Sterling, CO; 5 grandchildren Teran (Tim) Maliske, Tyson (Tab) Vedsted, Jarod (Jenn) Vedsted, Lindsey (Dennis) Hains and Jessica (Dan) Stuck and great grandchildren Willow, Ruby, Allyson, Melena, Ethan, Mia, Gray and Marshal.
