Obituary

Patricia "Pat" (Davis) DeAtley, 74 of Iliff, Colorado passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery and a public celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.

Patricia was born July 3, 1948, in Aurora, Colorado to Robert Lee Davis and Mildred Maxine (Myers) Davis. She attended various schools, as her father was in the military and was stationed in many places. Pat married Ronald Ray and they later divorced. She reconnected with Bill, the love of her life, who was stationed in Vietnam, nearing the end of his fourth tour. William's parents almost immediately got in their car in Missouri and drove to Colorado to place the saved engagement ring (they were teenage sweethearts) on her finger. Pat and Bill wrote letters and sent voice recordings for the remainder of his tour and when Bill returned back to The United States, they were married on June 3, 1972. They celebrated 36 years of marriage before his passing on January 11, 2009.

Pat was an Army wife for 20 years followed by being the wife of an over the road trucker. She enjoyed being a homemaker or "Domestic Engineer" as she was often referred to. Pat loved crafts, quilting, scrap booking, and all family activities were her cup of tea and she especially enjoyed family history. She was able to trace her husband's family tree back to the Musketeers.

Pat was a very dear friend to many people, a truly special lady. If you knew her, you loved her!

She was preceded in death by her mother Mildred and father Robert, husband William DeAtley, granddaughter Kimberly Ray and son Robert Ray.

Pat is survived by her daughter Heather Kroeger and husband Berry of Greeley, CO, son Adrian DeAtley of Aurora, CO; sisters Linda Williams of Santa Maria, CA and Melissa Ambrose and husband John of Iliff, CO; aunt Theresa Mares and husband Gene of Llano, CA; many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.

Please join our family in knowing that Pat is now with Our Glorious Lord and is living in His promise for all eternity. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
