Patricia Arlene "Pat" Croissant, 76, of Sterling, died June 3, 2011, in Sterling. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with services concluding at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date.
She was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Deadwood, S.D., to Charles Aubry and Wilma Edna (Flowers) Powers. She attended rural elementary schools in the Nebraska Panhandle, Garden County Schools and high school at Oshkosh, Neb., graduating from high school. She continued her education at Central Business School in Denver.
Mrs. Croissant was a bookkeeper and office manager for various schools, automotive, oil and gas companies in the metropolitan Denver area.
On June 19, 1954, she married Bob C. Croissant in Oshkosh. They were married 57 years. They lived in Oshkosh, Ogalala and Kimball, Neb., and Boulder and Castle Rock before moving to Ster-ling in 2006.
Mrs. Croissant enjoyed sewing and quilting, gardening and classic movies and music.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Croissant of Sterling; sons, Steve Croissant and wife Lisa of Simi Valley, Calif., Charles Croissant of Denver; daughters, Jeanie Acker and husband Steve of Castle Rock, Elizabeth Southall and husband John of Winnemucca, Nev.; brothers, Clay Powers of Oshkosh and Larry Powers of DelRay Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wilma Powers.
