Opal Rose Boyles
April 12, 1917 - Aug. 23, 2007
Opal Rose Boyles, 90, of Sterling, died Aug. 23, 2007, in Sterling. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today, Aug. 27, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Chaney-Reager with the Rev. John Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyles was born April 12, 1917, to Stephen and Emma (Browner) Painter in Healy, Kan.
She moved to Colorado at an early age. She worked in Denver at the Union Pacific office.
On April 18, 1946, she married James Boyles in Cheyenne, Wyo. They moved to Sterling in 1969. She took care of her mother until her mother died.
She attended First Baptist Church and Grace Bible Church.
Mrs. Boyles is survived by her cousins, Leslie Browner and Thelma Davis, both of Sterling, and Ruth Scott of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyles, in 1983.
