Nyrene Ann Futch, 85 of Sterling passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Sterling Living Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, July 23 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Jodie Harless officiating. Inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at Columbine Park following the inurnment. Feel free to bring a covered dish to the luncheon.

Nyrene was born April 26, 1933 in Bushnell, Nebraska to Melvin D. and Lois (Stevenson) Eby. She worked many years at the Bluebird Café as a cook. She later went to work as a nurse's aide. Nyrene donated many gallons of blood and received a Golden drop award for her contributions. She also helped collect donations for the March of Dimes.

Nyrene is survived by her children, Lyle Futch of Ft. Edward, NY, Cindy Futch and her partner Mike Ekberg of Greeley, CO, Valerie Bell and husband Neill of Pahoa, HI, Cliff Futch of Greeley and John Futch and wife Tamra of Sterling, CO; grandchildren, Mikie, Patrick, Michael, Amanda, Lillian, Adam, Taylor, Jessica, Leah Ann, Cruz, James, Cody and Jenna; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Richard Futch and brother Richard Eby.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nyrene's memory to the March of Dimes or a charity of choice in care of Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, PO Box 1046, Sterling, CO.
