Neil Curtis Cool passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at his home in Laurel, MT. He was 71 years old. A private family burial is scheduled for later with inurnment in the Fleming Cemetery.

Neil was born June 11, 1952, in Sterling, CO to Norris and Faye (Tanner) Cool. He grew up on the ranch at Fleming and graduated from Fleming High School in 1970. He was a truck driver all his life. He drove for trucking companies and owned his own truck. He hauled loads all through the lower 48 states and into Canada.

In 1980, he married Kathy Pierce in Grand Island, NE. A daughter, Carrie Justine, was born in 1983. The marriage ended in divorce. Neil was proud of his daughter Justine and granddaughter Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Nelson and Freeda Cool and JD and Ruth Tanner, his father Norris Cool and brother Roger Cool.

Neil is survived by his daughter Carrie Justine Cool of Billings, MT, granddaughter Zoe Justine Mangus of Billings, MT, his mother Faye Cool of Broken Bow, NE, sisters Colleen (Rod) Weber of Broken Bow, NE and Elinor Cool (Norm Fritz) of Palmer, NE, nieces Brenda (John) Barnes of Cedar Falls, IA and Janice (Dale) Nozicka of Broken Bow, NE and nephew Dr. Greg (James Barnett) Weber of Minneapolis, MN and several great nieces and nephews.
