Obituary

Myron J Krehbiel, 80, of Sterling, died Saturday, March 19, 2011.

He was born to the late J. J. and Bertha Krehbiel, on July 12, 1930, in Oletha, KS. Myron grew up on the family farm in Kansas and earned a Masters Degree in English and Social Science from St Francis College in Indiana, along with multiple Bachelor Degrees from various institutes. He married Jean Noffsinger in 1959, who preceded him in death, along with their four month old son, Timothy Leon, in a tornado on April 11, 1965.

Myron married again in 1970, to Betty Jamieson. She was killed in a car accident May 20, 1982. He later married Allie Heck in 1996. She died on November 28, 2009.

Myron recently moved to Sterling from Alamo, TX. He was very active in his church there, and was passionate about teaching English as a Second Language to all grades. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and resided in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Columbia, Mexico, and Venezuela. Myron spent several years as a pastor and missionary, always enthusiastic about sharing his faith.

Myron is survived by two sons: Michael Krehbiel and wife Ruth of Sterling, CO and John Krehbiel, of Deming, NM. He is survived by three sisters: Ruth Krehbiel, Virginia Kaufman, and Joann Funk all of McPherson, KS. His is also survived by four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday at the Berean Church in Sterling, with services concluding at the church.
