Muriel "Murt" J. Wagner, 83, of Sterling, died May 28, 2008, in Sterling. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling, with the Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Wagner was born July 19, 1924, to Lloyd and Emma (Rose) Crow in Peetz. She grew up in the Peetz area, where she attended school.
On Sept. 13, 1940, she married Gilbert C. Wagner in Sidney, Neb. They were married for 64 years before his death in 2005.
Mrs. Wagner worked at the Sterling hospital.
Her favorite hobbies included cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She also attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by her son, Gene Wagner of Sterling; sister, Betty French of Mesquite, Nev.; brother, Roy Crow of Crook; grandchildren, Shelli, Mindy and Tyler; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gib Wagner; daughter-in-law, Judy Wagner; parents, Lloyd and Emma Crow; brothers, Clinton Crow, Kenneth Crow, Russel Crow and sister Audrey Crow.
