The daughter of Adam Sr. and Anna (Sinner) Schoenberg, Mollie was the 7th of 12 children. She was born May 16, 1910, in a home northeast of Sterling. She married Glen King on April 12, 1932 in Sterling, to that union, they welcomed four children, Jessie, Arnold (Dean), Janice and Vicki.

Mollie went to school until the 8th grade at a country school north of Sterling. She had to work from a young age at a variety of jobs, from feeding cowboys and farmhands to house cleaning and field work. She was at cook at Padroni school from 1956-1959. When the family moved into Sterling, she went to work for a Dr. as a housekeeper. She then worked at Logan County Hospital in housekeeping, then as a seamstress until her retirement in 1975.

In her retirement, Mollie had more time to make her wonderful pies, and a family favorite, "Grandma Noodles", and she also began making afghans and beautiful hand pieced quilts for all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A tradition she continued until she could no longer sew them herself. They are treasures for all that have been fortunate enough to have received one. Mollie always had a beautiful yard and garden, that she was very proud of, she canned what she grew, and shared her wonderful bounty with her family.
