Obituary

Minnie Belle Klippert, 91, of Sterling, passed away Nov. 29, 2013, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Chaney-Reager, with Pastor Manuel Tamez officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Minnie was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Keota to Olin and Bessie Belle (Conley) Keasling. She graduated from high school. She lived in Keota until moving to Sterling in 1940.

Minnie worked in the laundry and was a seamstress in the hospital.

On Dec. 15, 1942, she married Otto Klippert in Sidney, Neb.

She enjoyed bowling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, ceramics and upholstery work, as well as working in her yard and her grandkids. She also enjoyed making jelly for her family. Minnie bowled on three different teams until she was 89 years young.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Stumpff and husband Rob of Hemingford, Neb.; sons, Larry Klippert and wife Donna of Holyoke and Darwin Klippert and wife Marilyn of Lamar; 18 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Klippert; daughter, Jewell "Joy" Murphy; parents, Olin and Bessie Keasling; sisters, June Keasling Carroll, Zoetta Keasling Spencer, Virginia Keasling Mitzel, Ida; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
