Megan was born September 9, 1972, to Richard Francis and Elizabeth Louise (Hudson) Kelly in Sterling, Colorado. Megan's unwavering love for animals and her dedication to her family will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
From a young age, Megan's affinity for animals and art were evident. She cherished her two beloved dogs, an English bulldog named Bella and a French bulldog named Enzo, as well as her cherished cat.
Beyond her love for animals, Megan also had a sense of responsibility towards her parents. She moved home to Sterling from Westminster, Colorado, in 2004 and she and her four siblings helped care for their parents before their passing. Desiring to further her education, Megan pursued her passion for art and graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Art History. Her fascination with art and culture inspired her to continue painting, drawing, and visiting art museums.
Megan also played the flute in grade school through high school. She also enjoyed reading, walking her dogs, watching movies, attending church, and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Francis, her mother Elizabeth Louise, and her nephew Carter Niedermayer.
Megan is survived by her beloved pets, Bella, Enzo, and Kitten, who will undoubtedly miss her comforting presence; her siblings Erin (Steven) Olson, Kevin Kelly, Brendan (Lori) Kelly, and Colleen (Jon) Niedermayer; nieces and nephews Jordan, Erik, Stefani (McKay), Matthew, Kyra, Mia, Maddie (Austin), and Bobby. She will also be missed by her extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial contributions may be made to Logan County Humane Society, 2250 Leisure Lane, Sterling, CO 80751.
