Mary "Dee" Lantz, 57 of Sterling passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Engelwood, CO. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastors Lew Champ and David Baines officiating. Dee will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18 at Riverside Cemetery.

Dee was born February 16, 1963 in Denver, CO to Alex P. Fields and Helen V. (Appelgren) Fields. Dee married Michael P. Lantz, Jr. on January 20, 1987 in Lakewood, CO. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, custom jewelry, birdhouses, volunteering at local homeless shelters and being with spiritually adopted kids. Dee was a devout Christian and was a prayer warrior. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her father Alex, mother Helen, brothers Jerry Fields, William Fields and son Kevin Christopher Smiley.

Dee is survived by her husband Michael Jr., sons Shaun Smiley, Nicholas Smiley and Cody Lantz; grandchildren Caela, Netanah and Asher and siblings Mary Fleck, Carolyn Jones, Lynne Boothe and Cindy McMahon and nephew Roger Fleck.
