Mary Adele Gillham

Mary Adele Gillham, 91, of Peetz, died March 21, 2008, in Peetz. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Sterling. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Foursquare Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Roger McGlaughlin and the Rev. Doug Burroughs officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Mary was born Dec. 6, 1916, to George and Nora (Hanson) Danielson in Brush. She graduated from high school in Brush in 1939. She graduated from Colorado Teachers College in Greeley and Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan.
She taught school in Proctor, Peetz and Sterling in the elementary grades and was an art teacher.
On Nov. 25, 1945, she married Charles Dean Gillham.
She was a member of First Foursquare Church, a former member of the United Methodist Women, a member of the Church Women United and Women's Auxiliary of Gideons. She was a Girl Scout leader, was on the Motivation for Ministry Board of Directors and served with Lay Witness Missions.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Jane Reynolds and husband Dr. Ken of Lexington, Neb.; son, Richard Dean Gillham and wife Nita of Peetz; brother, Morris Danielson and wife Helen of Lander, Wyo.; sister, Betty Ann Blanchard and husband Clyde of Lakewood; sisters-in-law, Laura Danielson of La Junta and Glenelle Danielson of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Dr. Scott Reynolds and wife Sara of Omaha, Neb., Josh Reynolds and wife Katie of Hastings, Neb., Daniel Gillham of Parker, Roy Gillham and wife Brandee of Buffalo, Wyo.; and great-grandchildren, Caden, Ben and Jase Reynolds of Omaha, Hannah and Rebekah Reynolds of Hastings, and Jake Gillham of Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Gillham in 1996; grandson, Todd Reynolds; and brothers, Ivan Danielson and Dr. Robert Danielson.
